If you heaven't heard a buzz about ARISE/THISDAY yet you will eventually. Those of us who have been longing and secretly plotting for a magazine that portrayed art, culture,fashion and politics on the African continent and beyond in a stylish and aesthetically pleasing way, breathed a collective sigh of relief when ARISE hit the shelves early this year. The articles are varied, interesting and the fashion pages are a feast for the eyes.
It's now on its seventh issue and we are hoping that this magazine will continue to grow and up the ante. Distribution is still limited, however, according to the official website a global launch of this stylish magazine is imminent. Africa's first global style and culture magazine is an initiative by Nigerian media mogul Nduka Obaigbena who is also the editor-in-chief.
