AFRICA FASHION WEEK 2010

Swag Up Ladies and Gents! Africa Fashion Week will take place amidst the world cup mayhem, commencing on June 30th until July the 3rd. Sure to be a welcome relief for those not caught up in the worldcup fever, this fashionista feast will be hosted at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. Thirty up and coming and established designers from the continent and diaspora will showcase their latest collections. This list includes the likes of David Thale (South Africa), Boudoir D'huitres (Ghana/USA), Deola Saoge (Nigeria) and Gloria Wavamunno (Uganda). In addition Africa Fashion Week will host a two day fashion seminar. This illustrious affair culminates with the African Fashion Awards on July 5th, and will also see the launch of the African Fashion International Boutique as a permanent fixture. Garments straight from the catwalk will be available for purchase along with items from African fashion designers all over the world. We suspect that the AFI Boutique is sure to become a mecca for African fashionistas.

Tickets for the African Fashion Week can be purchased from Computicket and Hospitality packages are also available. For more information visit the AFRICA FASHION WEEK website:
