Hurray! Another African Fashion Week. This time in the uber-trendy city of London for which it is a first. Over 60 designers from Africa and Diaspora will showcase their designs and AFWL promises not to be the standard fashion week type event as it will feature choreographed fashion shows, live music, Dj sets and exhibitions. AFWL will be held on the 5th and 6th of August at the Gibson Hall in central London and Vakwetu will be attending. With the continued hype of Ankara fabrics (which we still love by the way) will we see post-Ankara forms of expression? Excited to find out and let you know!
