The winter season is out and it’s time to
get ready to refresh your wardrobe in preparation for the glorious spring/summer
season. So here are a few tips to get
you inspired.
African Print: African print also known as Ankara or Kitenge
or the quality Dutch Wax is everywhere at the moment and there is no
slowing down it’s popularity. Particularly when the print is applied to
in-trend cuts. The vibrant colors and million and one
pattern combinations make this look so versatile and you will never fail to
make a statement. Why not invest in hot kitenge pants, jumpsuit or pencil skirt as seen on #instagram below?
For men African print is also a big trend in 2013. With ethnic inspired
shirts, ties, jackets and trousers.
Whites: White is in. But this is a less clinical and cold
white as seen in previous seasons, which is refreshing. This is a softer white
reflected in the choice of fabric and cuts used. The little white dress is a
must have for the summer season.
Glitz and Glam: If you are feeling particularly Jazzy this year maybe recently inspired by The Great Gatsby movie
or in general by the 1920’s prohibition era then this is a look you will love.
This is a look that has been simmering underneath the surface for a while now
but it is not for the faint hearted. You have to know what you are doing in
terms of attire, make up and yes pose! Sparkly diamantes, tons of gold,
chiffon, ,pastel hues and black lace. This look comes with tons of style, glitz
and attitude. We love it!
Swimwear: Forget the traditional bikini this season ; it’s all
about vintage inspired swimsuits. The cut is ultra feminine to show of that hour
glass figure with loads of diversity in the prints. You can go from simple to
flowery to African print swimwear. Check

Women's shoes: Can one ever have enough shoes? This summer season
we are seeing a big trend in wedge sandals. The ultra high wedge is over now
making way for a lower Asian inspired
wedge sandal. If you like your high heels look out for two tone sandal heels ,
with pointy toes in pastel and water colors. Ankle straps are big this year and
can be seen in flats low or high heels.
If you like the Ivy League looks then loafers are for you as
they are a big trend for men and woman alike this year.
Men’s shoes: We are seeing a versatility in men’s’ shoes
like never before. From loafers to sneakers to wingtips the choice has definitely
expanded.
