Then 10th of October saw the Namibian fashion industry come together at an event that was the first of it's kind for Namibia: The Namibian Fashion and Industry Reception.
This fabulous event brought together designers, models, fashion lovers, investors and apparel industry movers and stakeholders for a networking session. It was a great time, with guests being welcomed with tongue tingling bubbly courtesy of Pongracz and elegant wines courtesy of Nouveau Wines. As the sun set over the hills of Windhoek guests where ushered into the events proceeding by our fabulous hostess Mercedez.
Designers were invited to showcase their brands and encouraged to "pitch" themselves to potential investors which, many took up with great enthusiasm. A "flash" fashion show by designer Ingo Shanyenge opened up the floor for other designers to present their own collections and mingle with the guests. Brands such as Lumiere Emporium and Social Butterfly left a big impression on guests and garnered a new wave of clients.
