Our journey in Joburg began with an amazing view at the Four Seasons Hotel, Westcliff, for a meet and greet with the various bloggers/influencers and sponsors.

The bloggers and influencer were taken to Oriental Plaza for their first shopping experience.
"With 360 stores in the Oriental Plaza, you will find a unique shopping experience, which drives on tradition and culture. The Oriental Plaza has been rooted in the very heart of Johannesburg City since the 1970's"

Champagne Chocolate with David Tlale
This experience would not have been complete if we did not get to meet one of South Africa's most renowned designers ( and a multiple feature on Vakwetu ) David Tlale . And how better to have a meet and greet than with some champagne and chocolates.

THE SHOOT IN SOWETO ON VILAKAZI STREET
This was the highlight of the whole experience. Bloggers were now to become models. Dressed by some of the best designers in South Africa, namely David Tlale and Craig Port amongst others. In one of the most iconic streets of Soweto, Vilakazi Street. The only street in the world to have housed two Nobel Prize winners. Hair and make-up done and we were set loose on the street, strutting our stuff and showing Vilakazi street and the world what we can do in front of a camera lense.

Day3
On our final day we were taken to Sandton City. The home of luxury shopping and lavish lifestyle, in Johannesburg.

All in all in was a beautiful experience. Using bloggers/influencers to carry the essence of what the Joburg Shopping Festival is. An opportunity to bring Africa together for the love of retail and culture.
It is a definite must DO.
